Despite the wind and the rain, the silvers and the Juneau anglers are still being spotted all around town. The creeks may be high, but the channel has still been fishing. There are still a bunch of bright hatchery fish out there, that's for sure. As soon as the weather gives us a window, we suggest you get out there and tag a few more fish!
If you are done chasing silvers, we have heard reports that the Dolly fishing in Montana and Cowee has been pretty good. Again, this will entail you waiting for a weather window to do so, as the rain has been turning our creeks to chocolate milk as of late. Try using small streamers and egg patterns for these late season hungry trout.
Finally, after being open 7 days a week for the last 5 months, this Sunday will be our last Sunday of the season open. Be sure to stop in and give Kayla and Gavin a hard time. Our daily hours beginning Monday the 19th will be Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm
As always, keep sending your fishing photos, videos and stories to Kayla@alaskaflyfishinggoods.com.
Happy Fishing!
